“After a recommendation from a colleague, we decided to have our 8-year old son tested with Lori. He was happy at school but really struggling. We felt his school was working well with him and meeting his needs as best they could, but we were worried that things would continue being difficult for him or potentially get even harder. We also have an overseas move coming up for our family so we were fearful of what a change of school would be like for him and the time that he could lose while his new school got to know him and his educational needs.
To say our son was reluctant to attend is an understatement, but Lori put him at ease straight away and on the second day of testing, he went along quite happily. It was intensive and hard work, but Lori worked so gently and thoughtfully with him.
What we got after the testing was completed was a very extensive report of our son’s learning style of where he is at, what he struggles with and why but more importantly what he is good at. Knowing his difficulties was so important for us, but for him to hear there were things that he excelled at was amazing for him and his confidence.
Lori spent time with our son and ourselves, giving her recommendations. She explained the results to us in a language we could understand and gave us practical information that we could put into practice at home and at school.
Throughout the whole process, Lori was professional, understanding and you could see she has a real passion for what she was doing.

“I took my daughter to Lori for a full educational evaluation on two separate occasions. Although there were other options, we returned to Lori for several reasons.
Lori does an excellent job of putting the child at their ease in the testing situation. She went out of her way to provide snacks that my daughter liked, she built in rest breaks that responded to my child’s needs and paced the assessments in order that the test results accurately reflected my daughter’s strengths and weaknesses.
The final report is clear, accessible and very comprehensive. I really appreciated Lori’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail with regards to how she disseminated the evaluation results. Lori met with us as parents separately to the follow-up meeting with our daughter. This meant that she was able to sensitively convey the necessary information in a way that was appropriate for the audience.
