About Me
As the daughter of Mary Ann Key, founder of Key School and Key Center for Learning Differences in Fort Worth, Texas,
I was brought up in “the family business”: I was a student at Key School as a child, a classroom aide as a teenager, and finally, as an adult, a teacher and CALT (Certified Academic Language Therapist).
After completing degrees in secondary education and educational administration, I embarked on a 25-year career as an international language and literature teacher, living and working in six countries around the world. On this adventure, I met my husband, a designer.
In 2013, I returned to my learning support roots and became certified as an educational diagnostician. My experiences as a learning support specialist and classroom teacher
provides me a unique skill set
that informs my practice by insight into how kids learn and issues at school
After years abroad, my husband and I are excited to call Austin, Texas our home. We love to stay active, enjoy good food, and be with friends and families.
